2021 - 2022
The handbag, one of the most used advertising artifacts in the fashion world, is reconceptualized in the series screen bag. The handbag surpasses its original function as a carrier of objects and becomes a symbol of status and visibility, functioning as a showcase for the brands themselves. Following this logic, filip goes one step further and introduces the screen, technology and symbol of our present, to communicate its own message.
In ‘BP12:34,’ (2021), filip invites us to think about free and universal love beyond commodification. ‘BPT23:45’ (2022) explores the lack of opacity by introducing a translucent screen, in turn breaking the logic between interiority and exteriority.
