‘A.I.C.C.A.’s Collectors Series’, presented by Mario Klingemann and Onkaos, is a series of online episodes in which A.I.C.C.A. performs in collaboration with some of the leading collections in the digital art ecosystem, exploring art criticism through the lens of artificial intelligence.
Conceived by Klingemann in 2023, A.I.C.C.A. (Artificially Intelligent Critical Canine) is a robotic dog that performs and questions the nature of artistic evaluation. As an irreverent AI art critic, A.I.C.C.A. responds to artworks by autonomously generating fragmented, algorithmically derived pooped textual commentaries that challenge conventional notions of value and quality. By re-imagining criticism as an unstable, generative act, the series invites reflection on the artificial gaze and the role of language in perceiving the work of art as an object.
In the debut episode, the A.I.C.C.A. steward confronts the robot with ‘The Butcher’s Son’, the iconic work by Mario Klingemann currently in SOLO’s collection. Follow the conversation on X (Twitter) and mint your receipt.
