Onkaos presents Stairs & Stocks by Andreas Rau at SOLO CSV, Madrid. Across three audiovisual works, algorithmically generated staircases intersect with fictional stock market graphics, connecting architectural ascent with the promise of economic growth.
Geometric structures and layers of sound build, collapse and reorganise in continuous cycles. Each work operates independently, while moments of synchronisation create brief alignments across the screens. Through these unstable rhythms, the installation explores repetition, volatility and the systems that shape our understanding of time, value and progress.
The series was presented by the artist in collaboration with Fakewhale as a release on objkt.com in September 2024. The three works shown here were acquired by SOLO Contemporary for its private collection.
