Chino Moya’s Deemona series is currently being part of Voltaje, Salón de Arte y Tecnología 2024 fair in Bogotá, Colombia.
Deemona exists in a state of perpetual temporal stasis, where layers of human history collapse into a ceaseless, fragmented present. It is as if time itself has abandoned its linear flow, leaving only a ghostly archive of shattered moments.
Norbert Wiener, the father of cybernetics, foresaw such an outcome: “There will be nothing left but a drab uniformity, out of which we can expect only minor and insignificant local fluctuations.” In Deemona’s suspended reality there is a monotonous, entropic expanse where even chaos lacks significance, and history is reduced to mere echoes of itself.
